The Path of Yoga: A journey of Awakening

Yoga is not just any spiritual path. It is an ancient calling to wake up to yourself. It is a deeply seeded desire to unify all parts of yourself. It is a homecoming as much as it is a transformative challenge. If the path of Yoga has once called you it will always find a way back into your life. It will always remind you to go towards the ultimate goal of liberation.

Yoga is not a shallow path, it is a deep shedding of layers and identities, and is yet deeply reconnecting. The Yogic path isn’t always easy or a walk in the light onle, as we all need to own our own shadow states, too! Yoga is a return to a state of union of all parts, dimensions, and planes of your being, an alchemical, spiritual and energetic unfolding as much as an arrival to all aspects of your being.

In so many ways, Yoga is more connected to finally arriving in your own wholeness and a place of acceptance, than a never-ending spiritual seeking.

Viniyoga- The Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation,

My Yogic family in South India is Kausthub Desikachar, Menaka Desikachar, Sir GRV and all teachers and staff of the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation. I have not just symbolically been married to this tradition, which has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I have learned so much as a practitioner, student, teacher and therapist, but I have also grown as a human being from living in India for four years. Much of the shared knowledge in terms of Yogatherapy, Vedic chanting and mantras, Yoga philosophy, the diverse Yogic and subtle tools like energy locks, etc is due to the profound wisdom, generous sharing and constant teaching of these people. The Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation passes on the teachings of Viniyoga which represent the authentic teachings of Yogaacharya T. Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar, but the lineage dates back over centuries.

There is no other place in the world for traditional Yogic understanding or any other teachers that transmit in the same depth. Viniyoga respects each student as an individual that needs their own practice to grow and blossom. Just like in ancient days, teaching is done one-on-one with individualized practices. I feel very strongly supported by the teachers of this lineage past and present and I feel privileged to integrate these teachings in my own teachings. I cannot express enough my gratitude and can only recommend this school and teachers from my heart.

I have been initiated into higher Kriya teachings that connect to morphogenetic (higher) cakras (8 to 10). These are initiations rather than teachings and connect to energetics that further unlock your own energy body and awakening process. These are teachings of mahavatar Babaji Nagaraj and the Kriya lineage. These teachings are a blessing that has been bestowed on humanity to enable everyone to connect to their own divine essence and move towards liberation. These teachings are transmissions from the Rishis, the great seers of India, Lord Shiva as the first Hatha Yogi, the ancient serpent and dragon lineages that guard the ancient wisdom and they form a part of the Yogic legacy of the Himalayas.

I cannot express the gratitude for these initiations or for what they have opened up inside me enough. I know that all ancient seers are still here to oversee and support everyone’s spiritual and Yogic journey until the end of time.

In ancient days teacher and student made a sacred commitment to each other that the student would remain on the path until they reached the goal, and the teacher would oversee your journey until your own sacred promise has been fulfilled.
